The 8th Ordinary Session Of Synod – 14th August 2020

The Diocese of Bondo held the 8 Ordinary session of Synod on 14 August, 2020 at St. Michaels and All Angels Cathedral Bondo. In the midst of the Corona Virus pandemic the Synod Session was well attended with about 20 members participating through zoom and over 150 physically present.

The 8th Ordinary session of Synod

The Bishop’s charge drawn from Acts 3:1-10 bringing forth the story of the beggar who had lost hope in life. A man who lost a sense of worth and did not believe in his own potential to do his own things. The Synod in one accord resolved to be the voice of the hopeless in the society in the midst of the Covid 19 pandemic.

The Rt. Rev. Prof. David H. Kodia

The Diocese of Bondo at this time has chosen to rise up and walk, offering messages of hope to the weak. We have the potential to build a viable Diocese that will forever remain a beacon of Hope to our children and great grand children.

SYNOD PLAZA FUNDRAISING

Mobilization for the Plaza fundraising is ongoing. To this end we are making a passionate appeal to raise at least KSH. 30M to enable us purchase two lifts by November this year and to start a donation of Cement Project Initiative (CPI) that is open to all members to participate in raising the required 3580 bags of cement and 782 tons of sand for interior and exterior plaster works.

We thank God for those who have already pledged to give cement for so far, we have received pledges of 1,128 bags and 100 tons of sand. We appeal to well-wishers and friends to continue participating in the cement project initiative.
